Christmas Wrappings 2011

OK, so I know Christmas is over and it's almost the  middle of January, but I really wanted to post how I wrapped my presents this year.

Every year I pick a theme for my wrappings and go from there.  This year it was red, brown, and white.

I made the gift tag above by cutting a rectangle out of card stock, cutting the top corners on an angle, punched a hole at the top and added the white hole protector sticker (can't remember what those are called for sure; you find them in the office supply section), adding a small strip of decorative scrapbook paper at the bottom, and then adding a letter sticker.

I also really like buying chipboard letters and adding decorative scrapbook paper.

{ the burlap ribbon I used got all over the place - see it on the present above? }

I found a really pretty piece of scrapbook paper with a poinsettia pattern all over it.  I cut the poinsettias out and then added glitter.

I like to dress up plain, brown paper lunch bags.

Key rings are a supply I always have on hand for wrapping.  Just add a sticker or write out something and you are good to go.

No more Christmas until next winter, I promise!

  12. Such beautiful wrappings!! Great ideas I'm going to have to steal. :) I used brown Kraft paper for the first time and kept things simple, but I'm going to use the paper all year long for other occassions too. and I have to confess I'm just now getting around to posting about Christmas this year too!! oops! :)

  14. These presents look very enticing. This year I decided not to actually buy any wrapping paper and came up with some eco-conscious thrifty alternatives, which I wrote about on my blog - have a look: http://ecothriftyliving.blogspot.com/2011/11/gift-wrapping.html. I didn't plan it very far in advance though, so next year I am hoping to be more organised!

  15. Gorgeous! I love how the color scheme you chose this year isn't necessarily Christmas colors.

    PS Did people have a hard time opening their gifts because they didn't want to ruin the beautiful wrapping? hehe

  20. These are all wrapped so beautifully. I went the letter route last year. Instead of name tags, I just purchased these cute letters. Love it. I may have to try some homemade name tags next year.
