Craigslist Find. . .

.
I found this little side table on Craigslist last month for only $15.  I don't usually have much luck on Craigslist, so I was happy to find this!  And for such a reasonable price.
.
.
It will be getting a fresh coat of paint in a new color.  I just need to decide what color!  Part of me wants to be bold and try something fun, but I have a feeling I'll end up painting it a nice creamy white.  If I do paint it white, I'm think I'll have to find a new lamp.  Hmmm, decisions, decisions.
.
.
I love all the little details.
.
.
.
.
.
Be back with a reveal once it warms up enough for me to paint it outside.
.
.
{ If you would like to know more about the chair, please see this post }

What a cute table..but what a fabulous lamp! I love how they play off each other...I think I would be tempted to leave it just like it is.

Great find! I really like the lamp so maybe paint the table a darker color?

Great find and I love the lamp with it!

Well, I love it the way it is, but a bright color would be very nice and you wouldn't have to paint the lamp. One thing always leads to another doesn't it?

You did good! It is just the cutest table, liking the detail on the top! I actually am liking the color it arrived in...but excited to see what you decide!

I never find anything noteworthy on Craigslist either - so I am living vicariously through you Alissa! That is such a cutie - how about some crazy color like turquoise or lime green? They would both look fabulous with your brown & white chair.

Great find and great price can't wait to see the end result. I would suggest a bold color for the table and I love the chair :)

LOVE it, Alissa! I can't even look on Craigslist b/c I always find a treasure. :) At least, not until we move...ha ha!

How about painting it Robin's Egg Blue? That's my all time fave accent color and it looks great with browns.

I am LOVING that table! I also really like the prints hanging above the chair! I think you should paint the table your signature color...green! :)

I vote making it a crazy color! Adding a little pop to the corner will make everything on the table stand out!

Wow, you found that for 15.00? Now, that's a great find! Yes, my parents live on Eagle Mountain...there's a grocery store before the gates and a strip mall. I can see Firerock from their neighborhood when I take my walks. I can't remember which golf green they live off of, but they collect quite alot of golf balls! Very nice area, isn't it?

Carla - I knew I should have posted information about the chair! I've added a link in the post if you would like to know more about it - it was a family piece I had reupholstered.

I'm always safe and prefer white but I think a fun color would be nice too! Maybe blue of some sort?? Great find!

It looks so perfect already with the wall color. Does it look that good in person? If so, I would keep it as is.

I agree that it looks good just the way it is. Great find!

I love the table and really think a hot popping color would look great. But honestly? I am in serious lust with that little turtle sitting on it! :)

It's awesome! I say go with a FAB bold color. Will look even better with all the white eye candy on the table and next to that chocolate/white chair. I say a cool shade of yellow, orange or blue...that's just me=) Check out the frame color I used on my garage sale picture frame =)

Great find, Alissa! I haven't had much luck finding cute stuff on Craigslist. Guess I need to keep looking!

Allisa,
Apple green, or any bright yellow green for that matter always looks so good with brown. And something tells me green just might be your colour:) It's a great table no matter what colour you paint it.

i like the table color. LOVE the turtle. Is it vintage?

Fantastic find! I think you should paint it a bolder colour, like blue or green! I love the lamp too!

I just picked up my dresser that I got for $25! It is going to be a TV console, can't wait to get painting, our weather had finally warmed up!

I just found your blog today and love this! I agree with everyone else, be BOLD!! I finally was brave a few years ago and started doing a little bold in my house with colors and loved it! Plus, then you can keep all the beautiful white accents on the table. I like the brown that it is with your other colors, but I think a bright green or red or orange or yellow would look great!

Love the table! Wish you could come to our home and decorate the whole house when it is built!!! Anyway, I am sure you have answered this a million times but what kind of camera do you use? Also, do you use an editing program?? Beautiful photography and beautiful home! The lamp is too unique to replace, I vote paint the table an exciting color:) Either way, I am sure your vision is amazing!

Thanks everyone for all you comments and suggestions!

Stephanie - the turtle is not vintage - it came from Pottery Barn a few years ago. (I tried to respond via email but your email is not linked to your blogger account!)

Don't know how I'm just now discovering your blog but I'm so glad I made it here! Love your CL find - we don't have a great selection here, either - I feel your pain! Can't wait to see what color you paint it. I'm imaging an orangey Chinese Red!
