Signs of Spring. . .

.
Spring is finally making an appearance around here.
.
The tulips are popping up and growing quickly.
.
.
About this time of year I start looking through all my gardening books and dreaming of what I will plant.  I live in a condo, but I mange to garden quite a bit.
.
.
The flags are back out on the golf course.
.
.
The branches are swelling with buds.
.
.
It's not March unless I have one Shamrock Shake. (On a side note, why are they now serving the shakes in a fancy plastic cup?  Personally, I like my Shamrock Shakes the old-fashioned way; in a waxy paper cup.)
.
.
This little oxalis plant adds a little Spring to my house.
.
.
And a sure sign of Spring in Michigan?  The March 30th release of this year's batch of Oberon.
.
.
Yes, Spring is definitely here.  I just hope it's here to stay.

  1. Oh, Alissa, it really is! Our river is rushing like crazy now that it started to rain. I love to drive around looking for more signs. Just last weekend the local Ice cream stand opened up! Have a great week!

  2. Beautiful pictures! I was loving all the signs of spring in my yard this weekend.

March isn't complete for me either unless I have just one Shamrock shake... but mine still come in the waxy cups. (I hope the plastic cup thing isn't permanent!)

  3. I have never been this excited about Spring. And Spring has sprung early this year in California. We never had a freeze this year in our area so many of my plants never died back completely so I feel like I have a huge head start.
Thanks for a sweet comments on my last post.
    And how was your vacation?

  5. Well I suppose I can come to your blog and imagine what spring might look like in a month or so. What beautiful pictures. I went out yesterday to take pictures too, and It makes my current blog post's take on Spring seem surreal!
Enjoy the sun and warmth, I'll try not to be too jealous.

  8. I love your pictures! What kind of camera do you have?
Thanks for the comment on Monday, I love stumbling upon blogs that I've never been to and are full of neat things!
UGH for this past weekend's weather in Chicago! It was BEAUTIFUL all last week and then the weekend came and it was a blast back to winter. We had good weather this week, but the temperature is currently dropping. I'm hoping we have a decent weekend (unlike the past couple of weekends)!

  9. I just love your first picture of the budding tree branches so I decided to answer on your comments section. The tabs at the top of the page were the easiest change I have made. Next to the new post and edit post tabs there is a tab titled edit pages. One you click on that tab you have the choice of create, edit or view pages. Just hit create and add a title. If I can do it you certainly can.
    Have a great day,

  12. I have another question for you, Alissa. :) How do you get your photos to have the curved corners? Do you edit them with your own software or do you use a photo website? I love the effect.

    Thanks!
